Some people ask, why Twelve Oaks? Why not Hintz House of Wax (as my husband likes to say as a random business name)? Well, the name is both crazy simple and a great metaphor. Twelve Oaks really comes from my home, in the woods, surrounded by twelve magnificent and mesmerizing oak trees. The number twelve is ubiquitous and symbolizes completeness. Oak trees are also incredibly strong trees, with powerful roots systems, symbolizing the healing work we will do as we get to the root of the issues, creating a stronger, healthier, more resilient and complete you.
Here at Twelve Oaks, the power is in your hands, and I am merely a partner on your journey, following your lead. I believe in leading with curiosity and compassion, understanding that while we begin therapy services, we must build a foundational relationship of trust. This trusting relationship enables us to lean into the work with authenticity, for you to share your pain, your hopes, your fears, your erotic pleasures and fantasies, and most importantly for you to be welcomed for who you are. So please, I invite you to continue browsing, being curious, and reach out when you are ready to learn more or begin your journey from where you are to where you want to be.
One of the many populations that is near and dear to my heart is the LGBTQIA+ community. As a member of this community, I recognize that there are so many additional nuances and factors that contribute to the quality of care that must also be recognized and processed, regardless of where you are on your personal journey. Maybe you are in place of exploration around your own gender identity or orientation, ready to share your authentic self with the world but anxious about the process, perhaps evaluating if a particular relationship is right for you, navigating parenting, or a mix of any, all and more. Either way, this work is important, valuable and you deserve to be fully embraced and welcomed for who you are and where you are.

At Twelve Oaks, I service the St. Croix Valley Communities of Prescott, Ellsworth, River Falls, Hudson, Baldwin, Hammond, New Richmond, Roberts, Osceola, St. Croix Falls, Taylors Falls, Stillwater, Bayport, Afton, Woodbury, St. Paul, and Hastings. Services are also available for other Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota communities. Virtual meetings are always an option for individuals located in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
